How we can work with your business

For companies that are partnered with Missing People, for either a short or long-term charity partnership, we aim to create a bespoke employee volunteering programme that is tailored to the unique skills and goals of your staff and your business. By working closely with your team we will generate exciting opportunities that will engage every staff member, help raise awareness for the charity, and ultimately help to bring more missing people home to their loved ones. To discuss our employee volunteering opportunities, please contact Aimee Castle in the Corporate Partnerships Team.

Missing People is always grateful for the support of companies looking to volunteer their time for good causes. Some opportunities however are reserved for established corporate partners that are working on an ongoing basis with Missing People to raise funds and awareness.Whilst we do have opportunities available for companies who are not currently partnered with us, we may suggest a small donation to cover our time and expenses on projects that are not part of an ongoing programme of support. Please enquire for more information.

Bespoke volunteering Programmes

For our current partners we can create a bespoke volunteering programme, which is tailored to you! These programmes are designed to utilise your staff’s skills, whilst helping to find and support missing people all over the UK. We will work with your team to ensure your employees get the most out of volunteering for Missing People. Bespoke Volunteering Programmes are truly rewarding. By utilising your employees’ skills they can help transform someone’s life.  These programmes are a fantastic way of motivating staff and improving confidence!

Skill Sharing

Skill Sharing can come in many shapes and sizes. Here at Missing People we are always open to any learning opportunity.

Mentors- Are you seeking a mentor throughout your career or a young apprentice to share your wisdom with? The team at Missing People is always on the search for new Mentors to help nurture and grow our talented staff and volunteers.

Training Programmes- Has your team got any spare places on any upcoming training programmes? Missing People would love to send one or more team members to take part in your employee training day as we have a limited budget to spend on training for our staff and volunteers.  Alternatively, if you have specialist skills in areas such as IT, project management, marketing, design, social media or video making, we would love you to come in and run a workshop at Missing People HQ! This is such an easy way to give back and is an invaluable service to Missing People.

Graduate Programme - Does your business run an exciting graduate programme? Ask your graduates to fundraise for Missing People! Include a fundraising module amongst their targets and engrain your commitment to supporting good causes in your new recruits from day one.

Knowledge is power! Missing People can only develop with increased skills and expertise. If you think your business could develop our staff, by offering training or mentoring on a one-off or ongoing basis, or by offering us a place on one of your training courses, we would love to hear from you! At Missing People we strive to develop mutually beneficial partnerships. As a result, the team at Missing People is always willing to share our expertise with you if we have skills you would like your teams to develop.

Appeal Days

Your business can help by hitting the streets and helping Missing People to find vulnerable people missing in the local community. By informing the general public and handing out posters, your team can directly help find missing people, as well as raising invaluable awareness for the charity in a more general sense. An Appeal Day is a great team-building activity and a fun activity to bring staff out the office and out of their shells!

Child Rescue Alert Sign Up Days

Child Rescue Alert is an automatic warning that sends out a message when a child is believed to have been abducted and is at immediate risk. Arm your team with clipboards and pens and venture outside! The mission is to get as many members of the general public as possible signed up to receive CRA messages. In 2016, Missing People is aiming to reach 1 million sign ups – help us and be a Child Rescue Alert hero!

By taking part in a Child Rescue Alert Sign Up Day your team can help find a vulnerable child when they are most at risk. Our aim is to have one million people registered to receive Child Rescue Alerts and your company can help make this happen. Child Rescue Alert Sign Up Days are a great way to interact with the public and develop your team’s communication skills.

If your business raises £100 this will pay for an extra pair of hands to man the helpline overnight. Do we really need another excuse to eat cake?
